GWAPE Picture
This is a picture of me. In this picture I represent how I want to be as a senior. When I'm a senior I would like to describe myself as being independent, mature, happy and responsible. When I'm older and more independent, then I will be able to deal with difficult positions I'll be dealing with. My long hair repents maturity and how I've grown over the years and how I will continue to grow as time goes on. I will be responsible by claiming my own actions and handling with situations in a mature matter.
Page 9 Griet says, "You know I don't want to leave. I have to." This quote relates to how I will be as a senior because I will have more responsibilities when I grow up. I will be grown up and have to get used to my new surroundings, just like how Griet was whenever she moved into Vermeer's house. Even just from the middle school to high school has been a major change for me since it's a completely different perspective of new people and new things. Everyone was either in a group or a clique and now we all are more independent. People would constantly get judged for on what they looked like, what clothes they wore and so on. And now we are all more mature handling those situations, and I'm thankful for JSA because of that. Some people were held back by their group but changes can be either good or bad depending on the situation. Griet has this with this quote and that's how I relate to that.
Page 222 it says, "Where are you going?"
"I raised my eyebrows. ... I found myself strangely calm. I did not answer her question."
I feel this quote relates to me since I'm not sure what i want to be when I'm older. As a part of my "Identidy" I'm still not too sure on what profession I would like to take up. I know what characteristics I would like to have though. To me when I look at this question (Where are you going?) I look at it as my future. I'm not sure what my life will be like in the future. I only know that as part of my "Identidy" I want people to know me as a very optimistic person and I'll enjoy every step of the way figuring out what my real "Identidy" is.
